What's the practical difference between being under a Consultant Psychiatrist vs a GP for ongoing ADHD care?

for the purposes of a continuing care at a stable dose..none! some GP's are GPs with expertise who can do adjustments and changes, some are not. In any case if issues are too complex for the GP they will raise it to a secondary or specalist care provider the same as they would any other treatment need.
